Ends on January 7, 2018

THEME: REAL EVIL
DEADLINE: JANUARY 7, 2018
The Poet's Haven is seeking poetry and short stories dealing with evil and monsters from the real world for an upcoming Poet's Haven Digest publication titled Darker Than Fiction. Serial killers, terrorists, warlords, you name it. The characters too horrible to be fictional.

(This was branched off from The Distance Between Insanity and Genius's villain theme call. We received a number of poems about monsters from the real world and decided that this theme needed its own anthology.  Please remember that this call is for poems and stories about REAL monsters.  Poems about Charles Manson or Jeffery Dahmer go here.  A story about a fictional character would have fit the other call.)

This call will close on January 7, 2018.  The anthology is targeted for printing in late winter or early spring.

Publication in this series pays one copy per piece.  A maximum of two pieces will be selected from each contributor.  The cover artist is paid five copies.  All contributors can purchase additional copies at a 50% discount.

Poet’s Haven Digest titles are published as 4.25″ wide by 5.5″ tall pocket-sized books.  We also seeking cover art for this anthology. Submissions for possible cover art should be either JPG or PNG files, and should measure a minimum of 1275 pixels wide by 1650 pixels tall.
